An accessory dwelling unit, usually just called an ADU, is a secondary living area on a single-family residential lot. An ADU can be located in the same structure as the main home, or it can be detached. ADU’s can have many of the same building components as any other home. Having an inspection performed on an ADU is especially important considering it is a space designed to be lived in.
Tabor Northwest charges $150-$200 for an ADU inspection. Additionally, the ADU square footage is added to the main home inspection square footage and priced accordingly.
